Abstract: After thirty years of economic reform, China has achieved an unprecedented level of development but also confronted with many challenges. As a leading researcher in strategy at the Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C., Professor Peijun Duan will provide insightful analyses of China’s development structure and illustrate why China is on a key stage of its growth. Also Professor Duan is offering a strategic solution for this stage development.  

Speaker Bio: Prof. Duan, Ph.D. at Peking University. Professor of Philosophy and Strategy Studies, Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C., Director of the Office of Strategy Research, Executive director of the Research Center for Social Development, Deputy Director of the academic committee of the School’s philosophy department, the Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C.,Research Fellow, Harvard Kennedy School His work includes training Chinese government officials and entrepreneurs. As a guest professor at the National Academy of Education Administration, his work includes training university presidents of China. He received his Ph.D. in philosophy at Peking University. His current research focuses on social science methodology, strategy theory, and development strategy in China. 中国经过30多年的改革开放，获得的成就和面临的挑战都令世人瞩目。段培君教授作为中央党校战略学的学术带头人，通过对中国发展结构的深层次分析，解析了为什么中国现代化建设正处于极其紧要和关键的阶段，对这一阶段提出了 “结构性战略”的基本对策，强调了这一战略对于中国发展的重大意义，并对这一战略作出系统的新概括和新论述。欢迎美东地区的华人，学生，学者以及对中国问题感兴趣的听众参与。

段培君教授现任中央党校战略学研究室主任，中央党校哲学与战略学教授，博士生导师，哲学部学术委员会副主任，中国科学院院刊编委，中央党校省部级干部班主讲教员，主持省部级和厅局级干部班战略研讨与政策论坛，担任中央党校《战略思维教程》主编，国家教育行政学院兼职教授，高等院校校长班主讲教授，美国哈佛大学肯尼迪学院客座研究员，北京大学和清华大学有关教育机构特邀教授。讲授《科学发展观与中国发展新模式》、《中国宏观经济分析》、《中国创新战略研究》、《战略思维的理论与方法》、《战略预见与危机预防》、《科学方法论》、《社会科学研究范式》等课程。哲学博士，北京大学科学技术哲学专业毕业。国家社会科学基金重点项目《中国发展新模式及其战略体系研究》、国家软科学环境战略课题、中央党校科教兴国战略等课题主持人，在中国国家发展战略和企业发展战略等方面有一系列重要建树。 
段培君教授是中国全面协调发展战略思想和中国结构性发展战略的倡导者与阐释者，中国发展战略总体布局从四位一体向五位一体转变的建议者与推动者，中国创新战略作为国家核心战略的首倡者，结构性宏观调控、结构性的政治发展战略、结构性的能源战略的提出者与系统阐释者。他在国家战略思想、战略布局与结构、重点战略乃至近期4万亿投资的基本目标方面，都提出过重要建议。在哈佛大学肯尼迪政府学院、费正清研究中心、商学院、麻省理工学院等国外高校与研究机构就创新理论与实践、市场机制与宏观调控、中国宏观经济与发展战略、中国财政政策与能源战略等专题发表演讲。
