Becoming a member

Becoming a member is free of charge, you simply need to subscribe to our newsletter mailing list. You will receive regular announcements of our events and news, as well as enjoy free or discount access on our events.

If you have not yet subscribed to our mailing list, you can do so by sending an email to
cuasia-request@columbia.edu and put the following word

subscribe

in the Message Body. Note that the word subscribe should be put in the message body; the message subject can be left empty. If you have any problem subscribing, please email owner-cuasia@columbia.edu

Getting more involved

Joining the working committee

As part of the working committee, you will be regularly invovled in our core activities, such as Distinguished Forum and Lectures, Training Programs, Career Development, Parties, Culture and other events. Our working committee consists of several divisions, each with designated functions. The task aspects include, but are not limited to, project proposal and planning, event publicity and logistics, public relations, web design and maintainence, secretarial assistance.

Joining a specific project team

We adopt a project-based management approach. In addition to our core projects, we very welcome peer-initiated proposals. If you have some intersting idea and want to make it a reality through our platform, please come talk to us. If it is indeed a good idea, we will assist you and help you form a committee which you will lead!

You can also choose an existing project of your interest and join as a project team member first. Prior experience is welcome but not required. Passion and the willingness to learn is more important.
